I did not graduate in the class of 74' but I have always wished that I could have. I went to Pittman, attended Hueytown during the 1972 school year. After school was out, my family moved to Gardendale, where I attended GHS my junior year and the first few months of my senior year. One day I walked out of the school and didn't look back. I moved to Tuscaloosa to stay with my sister for a while, who was in law school at U OF A and took a job at, of all places-Bryce Hospital. Carl of Sling Blade fame would call it "the nervous hospital". Often, I was the nervous one as I saw a lot of eye opening things as I worked around all those "nervous patie...Expand for more

There's a long story next-so I'll just summarize: Preachers son, long haired hippie type, rebellious, like a rebel w/o a cause or a clue, smoked dope and did other such dopey things-finally my life was a wreck-asked Jesus to fill this vessel of mine-HE saved me and I have been Blessed since. I have been married 27 yrs in to my wonderful wife Elaine. I have a son, Dallas and daughter Rachel-both attending college. We live in Alabaster. I have run into Hueytown grads throughout the years-but usually they were a lot younger or older than me. I am interested in learning how some of the folks I do remember from those days are doing now. I have reconnected with several since the first of the year. We are all interesting people, aren't we?
